Well... To Start Off. This Blog Belongs to Janice Lim Of Queenstown Secondary's Secondary Three D. This will be my learning journey to Karimun :)
Though its funny how contradicting this whole thing is. When the Packing List Clearly Says we're not allowed to bring camera's Yet E-learning Makes it compulsory for us all to bring camera's and take photos. I'm sure a Blog is no fun without Photos right? So I'm Pretty Much at a situation here. haha!
Feelings regarding the trip to karimun... I'm not so hyped about it to be really truthful, I'm waiting to see if the trip proves itself fun and meaningful. I'm pretty sure if i ignore all the glaring cracks and flaws, I'll realise the true essence of this trip with due time :)
From this trip, I truly hope to make a difference to the people of Karimun :) I want to help them, and show them how its like outside of their little hometown. Open up their minds, Teach them new things that will in time be part of their valuable general knowledge. Which makes me wonder if i should go to the kodak shop today and print out some of the pictures of singapore for them. It'll be wonderful if they're inspired and motivated to do well and aim to go overseas to work. Then they'd be of use to the town, bringing back modern information to upgrade the town. Its still a long way to go, But this idea seems feasible yes? :)
I want to climb the mountain on karimun! I'm quite excited about that part really! I wonder if we'll all get a certificate just like on mount kinabalu! In my mind, When i reach karimun, I'll probably see something similiar to the shops and roads on the way up to the base of mount kinabalu. Low on electricity, Low on water, Abandoned gas stations, Sand and grass. No proper roads and where there are roads, the roads would be old and cracked and not smooth like the ones in singapore. Thats my virtual image. I wonder if it'll be like what i thought it would be?
Surprise me Karimun.
